The spectacle itself was hard to take seriously. It was all theatre, but not the kind that leaves you inspired or thoughtful. More like the kind that makes you want to slip out at intermission. Youth members leading the charge looked like kids who’d raided their dads’ suit closets reciting lines and prayers with the stiff earnestness only indoctrination could produce. By them, older members loomed, keeping everything tightly on script.
It wasn’t a defense of faith; it was an awkward PR stunt masquerading as righteous zeal.
